Girl games.

I bought myself a new toy at Target. It's a Namco plug-in game console that has 5 of the great games of yesterday. Particularly Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man. It didn't have Frogger, but that's all right. I was the Galaga *champ* when I was a kid. Today when I got home from class I plugged that sucker in and played for an eternity. These are the greatest games; I don't care what anyone says. Sheesh--am I one of those nuts who never gets over the notioon that "their decade" was the greatest? The 80s rule, and rock, man. Cool beans.

Cool beans. I can't believe you say cool beans. I guess it is alot better than all of my sayings. Like ah "the trick is making it look random." I have a lot more. I just kidding anyway(about the cool beans that is. I really say "the trick is making it look random all of the time.".) I am one of the only guys I know that isn't obsessed with video games. They are fun but, reading and writing are so much more fun. Well thats just because I am a proud GEEK. I would rather watch someone else play than actually play my self. How did you fing my blog anyway. I though that was really cool. I need more blogger buddies like you.
I was getting close to losing faith in mankind until you posted the first comment, being honest with me. That in and of its self was FREAK'N SWEET.

Ha ha..."cool beans" was *the catchphrase back in the 80s. I never heard "the trick is making it look random." Nice saying if you're a burglar--KIDDING, LOL

I found your blog in the simplest way. I was browsing blogs and when I clicked "NEXT BLOG," there you were. The trick was, it was random. Har har! :)

One thing you will always get from me is honesty. :)

Thanks for commenting at my blog. I will say Galaga rules, although find me a game of Defender and I'm in heaven. I've found two in my modern life, one outside Colorado Springs, and another in Madison, WI. My friends just got that Namco plug in and they have a weird game with a monkey or something (not Donkey Kong), which I do not remember ever seeing in the arcades back in the day. Does yours have that? Also, what's your Galaga high score?

My Namco game has Mappy. I think it's a mouse.

Right now, my high score is just under 90,000. It used to be astronomical back in the 80s. I kept a notebook of all my hugh scores in various games. I'll be going to my parents' house tonight, so I'll have to look for it there.

Mappy, that's it. What is that? I have no recollection of that in an arcade. I played it and got the high score at my friend's place, but since no one liked the game, they were no impressed. I still don't understand that game. The Ms. Pacman is the old, slow version. I'm partial to the Ms. Pacman speed version you often can play in pizza shops or what have you.

No one is going to sneeze at 90,000. I do remember reading about a cheat code where early on in the game you could do something to stop the Galagians (is that who they are?) from shooting at you for the rest of the game. I never did it.

YOu are so not wrong. The 80's rock!! I get really really really irritated (and this should be embarassing to admit) when DD1 says how horrible 80's music is. It's almost an insult...wait it is! We have one of those plug in Pac man games...and I kick my kids asses everytime (evil laugh).
